Product Performance of PGMS P-ropylene Glycol Monostearate
 
PGMS -p-ropylene glycol monostearate appears as white to light yellow liquid, or yellow flakes or powder, with fragrance. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, e-thyl acetate, and c-hloroform, but insoluble in water. It can be dispersed into an emulsion when stirred in hot water. Rat oral LD5010g/kg, ADI0 ~ 25mg/kg (FAO/WHO, 1994).

PGMS p-ropylene glycol monostearate is a nonionic surfactant. It is an ester produced by the reaction of p-ropylene glycol and stearic acid. Therefore, it has excellent emulsification, wetting and dispersing properties, low irritation, low toxicity and biodegradability, and has less impact on the environment and human health. Therefore, it is a very popular surfactant and is widely used in various daily chemical products.
