Mica is a layered structure with a monoclinic crystal system; The crystal appears as pseudo hexagonal flakes or plates, occasionally columnar; Layered cleavage is very complete, with a glassy luster, and thin sheets have elasticity. It can maintain a transparent state for a long time below 500 ºC, without elastic loss or carbonization. It has good cleavage properties (i.e. can be peeled into very thin sheets), high electrical resistance, and extremely high heat resistance. At the same time, it has good chemical stability, high mechanical strength, low shrinkage rate, non flammability, non moisture absorption, and the thin sheet is soft and elastic.
