Glycerin, also known as Glycerol, is a naturally existing triol compound. Nowadays, commercial Glycerin is derived from animal tallow or vegetable oil. Glycerin has long been the most widely used moisturizing agent in skin care products. It is highly effective and long-acting as a humectant to absorb moisture from the air into the skin stratum corneum and can penetrate deeper skin layers. Compared to its rivals, such as Allantoin, Hydroxyethyl Urea, and Trehalose, Glycerin is usually cheaper and easier to get.
GLY997 Glycerin is super refined with above 99.7% purity and is 100% derived from vegetable sources. It is safe to use in skin care products for all skin types. Executing the USP standard, GLY997 Glycerin is also qualified to use in the Food industry .
Stable at a wide pH range, except in strong acid and alkali.
*Highly hygroscopic: Pack in tight-closed containers(drums or tanks); Store in a dry, ventilated and cool place; Kept away from direct sun and water.
Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months.
