Product Description

Sorbitan monolaurate, also known as Span 20, is a type of sorbitan ester. It is derived from the reaction of sorbitol with lauric acid, a fatty acid found in coconut and palm kernel oils. Sorbitan monolaurate is part of the larger family of emulsifiers. 

One of the benefits of sorbitan monolaurate is that it can help reduce the amount of fat needed in some food products. Additionally, E493 food additives can help improve the overall quality and shelf life of goods. Span 20 serves as a surfactant, stabilizer, and emulsifying agent in various applications.
